UE50ES5500 solarized picture problem unsolved

Post by Tritus »

Dear friends,
pls forgive me because I have already tried with your help to solve my problem, but without success. Time is passed so maybe a possible solution could be available. In few words:
- Entering the Service Menu
- I changed the model type of my led tv to U (ultraglear) model
- Picture became solarized, or negative
- I changed againg the model type to another one 50R6 ecc. ecc.
- I got the 2D-3D setting in the new menu
- Switching from 2D to 3D the picture became normal, but double
- Adjusting the settings in the 3D menu the picture became good

According to the a.m. procedure I solved, if I can say so, my problem, but anytime I have to make it, the following image displays what I was saying above, I really ask to be comprensive with me and hope to have some suggestions to definitively solve the problem when tv turn on.

Many thanks to all
Tritus

I saw from Samsung website there is a new firmware available from today, I will download it, maybe I can solve my problems. I already know this is not the solution, but I will try, it costs nothing.... as answer.

Friends, I have also contacted the Samusung assistance by phone, warranty is lost, but this is not a surprise, the real surprise, after spoken with the local service point too, is that I have to change a board inside, estimated cost 200 euro, why they need to change the video board?, as shown using the above trick I can see my tv images correctly, so in my mind it should be a matter of software, not hardware...I am really sad, I think today the market value of this smart tv is not more than the double of the board cost... I am still hoping in a solution from the forum...

Mostly the Service will always change the mainboard! They have not the knowledge and time to fiddle around with every single problem/TV...

Changing the Mainboard will solve quite every problem fast without hassle...

Hi, I am haveing the same problem in my Samsung 3D TV. Model # UA40ES6220R. I had wifi issue in my tv and i did the factory reset and it did not work. so I went to service menu and change the TV type to diff model and my screen got solarized. I again change back to previous model type but sill display is solarized.

But in 3D mode it is working fine.

Thanks all, entered info+menu+mute+power buttons from standby.Entered service menu, changed screen type setting to eg: 50P1AF6V and got rid of polarisation problem affecting 3D screen. Please note down inital settings, as there are plenty of options, some reverse image, flip screen upside down. But it did solve the polarization issue!
