Netflix App no longer works on F8000

Hi Guys,

Myself and some others in Australia are having issues getting Netflix to work ever since the last update to 1111.2. I have a UA55F8000.

We've contacted samsung but so far they haven't been much help. All other Apps such as Hulu etc work fine. When we try to open Netflix it just closes and goes straight to the 'TV' mode.

I know its not possible to downgrade the F-Series yet, but I think this is a good reason for that functionality.

I've tried reseting the Apps and going through the setup again from scratch and still no luck.

I thought someone here might have some suggestions?

Any help is very much appreciated.

The US Netflix widget 4.XXXX no longer works on Au firmware 1111.2. So this may also be true for European firmwares that are 1111.X.

The UK Netflix widget is 3.XXXX and still works on Au firmware. So it is difficult to know if it is the Netflix widget or the firmware that is the problem.

I think it is the firmware as I think the US Netflix widget 4.XXXX worked on the 1110.X firmware.

Can you share the v4? Its not available for my 2013 Evolution kit.

If you load the US hub you should get the netflix 4.0005 widget. you might need to load a hub that does not have netflix to get it deleted and then change to the US so it has to download the widget again. I notice if you load the UK smart hub then reset and load the US smart hub the netflix widget stays and is not removed and thus you keep the UK 3.22601 widget rather than the US 4.0005 one.

Curently trying the SPMdecrypt and then will rest the hub and load the US smart hub and I will dump the US netflix widget for you. (this is from a F8000 TV)

Thats interesting. I have been using US smart hub for some time already and it has not offered me the update to v4. I thought the new version is not available for Evolution Kit. I will try switching to my local country (no Netflix here) and back to US.

The v4.0005 has the new UI, correct?

I would appreciate if you can get the v4 for me. I have a feeling it won't work on Evolution Kit, but would still like to try...

Yeah, but it will not load on other firmware other than US atm so still need to use 3.XXXX for all other regions.

If you want to see latest version 4.XXXX use a PS3.

I wonder if it will change when the new Netflix UI is released in Europe...

I just updated my BD player (F6500) firmware and Smart Hub offered me the Netflix update to v4. I didn't update because i don't want to loose Netflix access.
