Hi M11,

Some of us are trying to get this version running with the Australian smart hub. We can copy the files across to the user directory but when we click in the icon it just freezes.

So we thought we'd try to load it via the Sammy Widgets app. But we had to decrypt it first. However we still get an error, as mentioned earlier.

Version 4 doesn't work with the Australian firmware version so we are trying to get the UK version working in the Australian hub

OK, i'm using v3 in Smart Hub set to US. I have not tried if it works when i set Smart Hub to my local country. But comparing your dump to the version i have (from Samsung server), you are missing at least one file, so maybe thats why it does not work...

So this probably means that getting the app from tv does not work. But do you have a backup of the v4, i would like to take a look...

Are you after version 4 from the US Hub on my tv?

Can you tell me how to access the widgets directly from the Samsung servers?

user widgets arent allowed to use full api. luckily its only checked at install time. i usually install a dummy widget and overwrite files w/ ftp

Hey bug clicks, doesn't the widget installer install the apps as a user app though?

i havent tried this w/ normal widgets yet, just to bypass installation restriction.
anyways.. all widgets need to be signed with exception of user widgets. two options, either patch exeTV/APP to allow unsigned normal widgets or convert it to user widget.
in order to convert the normal widgets to user widgets you need to edit config.xml and add/change type to user

I used the Sammy Widgets PC Tool posted early in this thread as well as the files in the first post, very easy; thanks!

PS. Thanks to the poster for confirming this also works on the 1116 firmware for this model!

it's working on ue46f6500 v. 1113
