Dual Recording on 40F7000: How To?

Hi guys,

Still experimenting with the TV but this model has 2 tuner and from what they write on the product's page it should be able to record 2 channels at once.

Unfortunately I haven't been able yet, not even channels in the same mux.

Can anyone tell me if it is actually possible and if so how?

I have a UE40F8000 and don't seem to be able to do this either. I also can't timeshift while recording another channel. (I use dual feed Freesat).

I find this very irritating and cannot see a logical reason for not being able yo do this and the user manual seems to imply it is possible? My Humax Foxsat can record two channels even if I'm watching another recording so it can't be an HDD access limitation.

I both called and wrote to support and different agents told me you can only record 1 channel and view another.
Unfortunately i relied on the info i found on different reviews of out TVs which was clearly wrong.
I don't see why you cannot at least record the other channel you are viewing.

Oh well at least you have the chance of the Humax (you must be in the UK right?).

Another thing i don't get is the limit of 6h of continuous recording: why???
