Sorry man, forgot to comment on that ....

While your device is connected to TV, please click the "Tools"-button in the PVRDecoder and select to either extract keys to the CONTENT-folder of the device,
or to a networkfolder (like your own PC) ..

Then move the device to the PC, and you will have the keys ready on the device in the content-folder, or .. on your PC anywhere you selected to store them.

You can then use DRMDecrypt.exe directly ..(many alternative versions out .. search forum .. I recomend Bugficks edition(s) ) ..

Also, fix your wireless network .. Use decent hardware .. N-class 300 Mbit wireless allows me to transfer a typical 6-8 Gb recording in max. 10 minuts ..
(New version will feature realtime benchmarking in log during transfers)
Hi Lordbyte,

Since the usb hdd I pvr on is almost full i wanted to export the keys as you suggested but under the Tools button of the PVRDecoder on the TV (Smarthub-Recorded TV-External TV-Options)I have nothing to export keys.
Am I looking in the right place?

I have also yet to find a way to be able to see the PVR usb under Windows 8.1.
I tried to follow the suggestions I found here: http://is.gd/QaM0pq

Unfortunately I cannot manage to install the Total Commander plugin since the program keeps crashing and EXT2FSD cannot be installed on Windows 8.1.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

No, you are looking in the wrong place, I think.

This happens on your PC .. in the PVRDecoder .. using the button called "TOOLS" (depending on the language you currently have active .. in the PVRDecoder).

When you click that button, you should see a popup-menu ..

Read each menu-item .. Identify the ones that concern key-export .. Select your preferred menu-item, and click it.

BEFORE you carry out the procedure above, you should make sure that your USB-device is connected to TV, and that TV is turned on and connected to the PVRDecoder.
AFTER you have performed the procedure above, you may move the USB-device to any reader that can accept the format used by the device, and decode files using the keys.

For ext3 and ext4 I recommend a Synology DS 412+ to access it  , and for FAT32 and NTFS I use a standard PC

You may benefit from emptying out your USB-device, and format it to a format supported by both TV and PC .. i.e. FAT32

Let me know .. :)

Hi Lordbyte thanks for the help.

The first part i figured by myself infact i tried to delete the post but it says i am not allowed and wasn't quick enough in editing it.

Re accessing the drive on the PC I think i already tried formatting it in fat32 but the TV always wants to format it with its own standard.

Any other suggestion to access it?

Thank you.

When TV wants to format your FAT32-device, can you refuse ... Say "NO" ?
And then under device-tools set it as default recording device anyway ?

If i remember correctly it wasn't possible but to be able to test this again properly i need to empty the disk first so back to square one :)

I am trying several software I find through Internet searches but none works with Windows 8.1 so far.

Can somebody please tell me how long does it take to decode and output a recording to PC? 15 GB Video takes some hours?

That natuarally is a question of what connection you have between TV and PC

I can tell you, that it takes apx. 10 minutes to transfer apx. 8 Gb from TV to PC on my network.
My network is wireless, 300 Mbit N-Class.

Including decoding? I have a 150 Mbit N-Class Wlan. I could use LAN cable too if it should be faster.

150 mBit is half my speed, so you should be able to transfer apx. 8 Gb in apx. 20 minutes ... 16 Gb in 40 minutes, and so on ...
I think cabling will be faster ... why dont you make some messurements and then YOU tell ME :-)

You are right .. after transfer recording must be decoded ..
For that purpose I use a version of Bugficks DRMDecoder.
It is very very very VERY fast .. BUT it requires really fast storage to perform at peak.
If you set input- or output-path to anything else than a SSD, you will miss out on its potential.
The potential of DRMDecrypt is in the area of 400 MBytes decoded pr. second (On my labtop hardware) ..
Be sure to use the Hardware-switch in the PVRDecoder, to let DRMDecrypt use GPU .. [corrected .. see next post].
If input- or output-path is anything else than SSD speed will drop accordingly.
