Hi there,
I rooted my EH5300 and now I have telnet, ftp, etc... Problem is, neither of them are password protected, and I have more people on my network, including guests so I have concerns about the safety of my tv because they are able to mess with it (delete required files, etc).
Is it to possible to set password for ftp, telnet, shares, etc? Or to allow only one IP to access those features (this would be the ideal solution)?
Regards

Re: Protect my TV
Maybe you can block TV ports in router, unless its your own computer that tries to connect ?
May require fixed IP?s of TV and PC to make reliable router/firewall-rule.

Re: Protect my TV
Thank you for your suggestion, problem is if I block those ports I had to unblock it every time I need to connect to my tv :-/.Lordbyte wrote:Maybe you can block TV ports in router, unless its your own computer that tries to connect ?

Requiring password for those services or restricting the access to a MAC/IP Adress would be the ideal solution. Any suggestions on how to do that?
