Blue-ray as Mediaplayer

Hi all,

I need some advise on a purchase. In my current set up i have a NAS (Synology), DVD player (Samsung), TV (Samsung, no smart TV) and a Mediaplayer (Apacer). Media-player is outdated and doesn't support all things anymore Also i want to consolidate things (less devices and remotes).

My idea was to replace the DVD player and the media player by a Samsung Blue ray player. In this case i can control 3 functions (TV/DVD/media player) with one remote and i can kick out one device. Also the all share function for the tablet/phone looks nice.

My NAS is not good enough as (Plex) streaming server. So the Blue-ray player has to access the nas with NFS/SMB and trans code the files by himself. I was thinking to get the BD-F6500 or the BD-F7500.

Question: Can Samygo be installed on the BD-F6500 or BD-F7500
Question: Can i access movies on the NAS through SMB/NFS with different codecs (DVD/DVD-ISO/MPG/etc..)
Question: Subtitles are also supported?
