BD-F8500 F8900 Writer question

Hi to all...
i'm new for the forum.
I'm interested to buy a BD-F8500 or F8900 bd recorder.
I want to know if the bd unit (the internal bd writer) is capable to work like a standard pc bd unit, so to write all type of file on the blueray disc, not only photo,movies and music.
I see that with all-share program on windows, is possible to transfer data to the unit and i want to use for transfer other type of file on the disc.

Those units don't write BD they can only record TV to HDD
