But I don't know how to do it.
I just found out how to copy the recordings to my Mac and then decrypt it. This works.

karo2204 wrote:Yes of course it is accessible. From anywhere in the world. I have even set up my webserver and email server myself.

I have mounted the NFS Share so I can watch movies on my TV. That works. the only thing is I have to run the nfsmount script manually as it doesn't start when the TV starts.
So now I need to just record to my NAS instead of to the HDD.

At least for starters....
No!!! I know you think it will help you but it won't :) What you need to do is to (on your computer) mount your NAS, then unpack decrypt.zip on NAS, cd to nas using terminal and run ./decrypt.sh :D After this you will have your recordings decrypted and save to your NAS automatically :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!

ah you mean the script will log into the TV HDD and then does it. As a workaround it will be alright.
The TV has to be on though for it to work....

With all to respect you don't know with how many more complex problems you will have deal if you won't do it this way :) Maybe at some point someone (still WIP) will be able to find better (and more stable) solution for your problem but for now that is what I have suggested:)

The only thing is that others say they do it directly. But I will do it your way for starters.
Is there a way to wake up the TV and then put back to sleep somehow?

Your problem is that you believe that once TV starts recording to your NAS you will be able to "magically" (easily) access those recordings from your iPad :)

Yes using HDMI-CEC cable or IR remote control :)

OK I will try it now.

With HDMI I could do it automatically like with a raspberry or so and php script. Good thinking.

Copied the file decrypt.sh and the folder to my NAS. I wanted to run ./decrypt.sh but it says "no such file".

I set all permissions. The file is there
