I have not updated Skype yet, so I have ftp access. I'm going to update it and see if I can still get samygo installed.

And yes, it is possible to copy folders without ftp access, you just need to write a app that does it. Its not convenient but it works. If it would not be possible, there would be no way to install Samygo.

It is not exactly the same tv.. mine is 65F8000

F7 and F8 use the same firmware and orlinm also has F7 like greenhorn.

Not exactly. .. The last end year's F8 samygo did not work for 65F8000 and had to change it.. anyway, the fact is that with new skype update the root disappeared. ..

So i took the risk and updated Skype. Cheked to see if Skype worked and it did. I opened Skype and checked the two boxes for autostart and login and exited. I put data folder on USB stick and run SamyGO app, both steps OK. Restarted my TV and i still have FTP access, so the problem is not Skype.

No idea if the problem is the new firmware 1118 for F7 and F8 TV's or you guys are doing something wrong.


Can someone on 1118 do me a favor and test if US Netflix app loads now?

I just need to know if the US Netflix app loads or crashes back to TV source. You can simply change to US Smart Hub and test it, You don't need to be in US for that. I'm not in US either.

I tested on F9000 and 2006 firmware. Skype app is the same for 7, 8 and 9 series.
