Anything could happen to my TV wich is F series if I try this ?
In worst case launching it will just won't work and/or you'll have to reboot TV. No problem, you can try it (and report if it's working or not ;) )

ok. thanks for the reply.
i will test it when I get at home.
Wanted also to ask if any further codec mods can be made in its code to support a new media.
I tryed nstreampalyer and nstreamLmod in the past with my gigablue 800SE' tuner(DVB-S2 OE4 set-top-box) generated streams. It plays some without problems and others just don't play, buffering forever(mostly) or getting only the sound. it must be because the sattelite providers encode their streams with various codecs...some not supported by nstreamplayer.

AFAIK nStreamPlayer doesn't include any codec, TV ones are used, I suppose that similar streams as DLNA are supported...
There is still endless buffering issues with this version (as well as latest Russian 3.x, especially rtmp/rtsp) and I've no idea if/how it can be solved. I just translated everything I was able to and noticed that code is often "obscure" :)

I was just trying to figure it out...but yeah, DLNA is another option.
DLNA is better than this in my opinion as it can use transcoding to provide the TV with a format that it understands without degrading the quality. Some DLNA servers even support IP streams ( ex: Serviio) . I will create a tutorial for those who are interested :)

It depends on usage, nStreamPlayer is good for IPTV, DLNA is surely better for "personal" streaming (as I said, supported codecs are probably the same for both...)
Any tutorial is always welcome ;)
