Re: DVD-player software
You cannot have such a software. Because TV's CPU is too weak for decypher DVD video. Also not compatible with DVD menus. Since TV's firmware is not fully opensource, I don't think such a player will be implemented. At least CPU of tv would not obey this...

TV doesn't support menus. But can play plain VOB files (those not encrypted) If you rip your DVD's to NAS, TV could play them (without menu)...koney wrote:Really? And how is possible that Im able to play DVDs copyed 1:1 on NAS over samba?...TV's CPU is too weak for decypher DVD video...
DVD menus can be problem...

Yes, it would be very nice to be able to play decrypted DVD structures (VIDEO_TS in a directory on the NAS) and to have it as a minimum play the chapters/parts in the correct order, preferrably without interruption. A great addition would of course be to also support the menus, opening title with built-in loops etcetera.erdem_ua wrote: TV doesn't support menus. A totally crazy option would be to add support to play dvds in the .iso file format but of course that would require decryption in 95% of the cases, which as you say the TV processor apparantly is not powerful enough to support.

Re: DVD-player software
Is there any PC DVD player that pushes a stream onto the TV by using DLNA?

Re: DVD-player software
Any other players? I'd also like a Winamp plugin that acts as DMC.
Well, there is the Windows 7 feature "Play to". But this does not work for mkw. In addition to that, 16:9 movies are shown as 4:3 contents with black stribes on the top and the button.

Re: DVD-player software
About one year has gone by now.
Do any of you guys know anything regarding Software or plugins for a Windows PC that act as and DMC (Digital Media Controler) in order to push Media onto the TV that would act as a DMR (Digital Media Renderer)?
Best regards,
Matthias
