Can someone explain me how i can mount a smb drive after obtaining the root access without dev account?
have i to access with ftp to my tv and edit some files or i need to install an extension?

Finally thanks to this way I have rooted UE46F5300 with fw 1119, now I'm interested to extensions as well, how do add all extension pack?

Post 1 worked with F7080 (eq F7000) and FW 1117. The first time it didn't work, but the second time.

How I proceeded to install the extension pack?

I followed viewtopic.php?f=63&t=6778 but instead doing it with a developer account I did the following:

- Unpack the SamyGo.zip and copy with FTP to /mtd_rwcommon/widgets/user
- Copy the unpacked data.zip to a USB stick and attach it to the TV
- Go to Smart Hub -> More Apps
- SamyGo extensions appear -> start
- follow the instructions

How to get ROOT access on F-series without develop account (IP synchronization):

1. Install Skype widget and run it:
a) select 'Sign In'
b) select 'Sign me in when Skype starts'
c) select 'Sign me in when TV powers on'
d) exit Skype
2. Power Off the TV.
3. Remove all USB drives from TV.
4. Using PC unzip 'SamyGO_usb.zip' to the USB drive root.
5. Power On the TV.
6. Go into Smart Hub applications.
7. Click 'More Apps' tab at the bottom.
8. Now insert the USB device in the TV slot.
a) dismiss 'New device detected' if popup.
b) SamyGO widget will automatically be added to existing list
9. Start SamyGO widget
a) press Enter, then again (just keep the onscreen procedure)
b) exit SamyGO
10. Power Off and power On TV
11. Wait 2 minutes.
12. Check FTP connection to TV on port 21.

After restart there will be no SamyGO in the applications list, root access will still work.
Removing Skype will remove SamyGO root access also.

Just get Samsung UE39F5570, fw:1119 and try to root it, but I stuck at point 8.b.
When new device popup, I hit return and nothing happened - no SamyGo widget on list.
What am I doing wrong?

You probably need to extract with the SamyGo folder: X:\SamyGo\files...

I installed FW 1120.0 today, and it doesn't work anymore!

I didn't search for any problems here first, because i thought, it still worked with all the previous updates, what should be different now...

Hello! I have a problem with this rooting procedure, it works flawlessly on my UE32F6400 firmware 1113 but it reverts by itself after a while to a fully functional Skype without root access ( I only use once in a few weeks the PVR Decoder and find out then that it's not working). I have disabled the auto-update in the Menu and never updated Skype. How can I make the root permanent? Re-rooting works fine but now it's the fourth time I have to re-root.

Update: I found by chance Zoelechat sticky thread about disabling OTN in the service menu. After disabling OTN the TV remained rooted (3+ weeks), and I get a notification in Smart Hub about an application (Skype) that needs to update.No more re-rooting.Thank you!
