Hi All

Great forum and great hack, bought this set this week and glad to find it had 1119 firmware so happily have root on this to play around with

I wanted to prevent automatic firmware updates and read the following article.

Just wondering if this is necessary as there was an option in the menus to switch autonmatic updates off.
I've switched it off here but just wonder if this is sufficient?

No!!!! Options from "regular" menu don't help. Just look at F thread a lot of users disabled automatic updates in "regular" menu and now don't have roof:)

Thanks for the quick reply. Used the remote emulator and got into sevrice menus to swith the OTN support off.
Firmare still showing a 1119 and tested root - still have access.

it's possible Upload 1119 Firmware??

I have F8000 Series and my Service Menu it's different on WIKI example..
anyone can help me, how i turn off Automatic Updates?
