UE60F6300 - No Skype in Australia Smart Hub

Afternoon All

Luckily bought a set where the firmware hadn't been updated so happily FTPing and downloading widgets from other country HUBs to place back in UK hub once I get all widgets/apps collected that I want.

I have downloaded all USA/Irish and Dutch apps that I wanted however when I change the country to Australia there is no Skype available in the Apps and so I cannot log in to it to run Samy go sucessfully.

Am keen to get the ABC iView app and few others in the Australian hub so would like to know if there is a work around for where Skype isn't available in country's hub?

You can try installing the SKYPE widget via develop account with widget installer.
You need to find someone who can post you the skype widget folder.
I don't know by heart the folder where it is located but I'm sure someone can attach it.

There is a wicky somewhere on the site that explain how to have apps back-up from different nations allowing you to have all of them at the same time.
Look and you will find. Possibly is on the ES section. look for that because it will make your scope.

I am quite confident that it is not dependent from the log-in on skipe (never tested) and if you install it from UK , back-up it via FTP on your PC and restore it (with widget install tool) when switched to Australia , you will have your skype.

I never testedd this but it should work and allowing you to run the samygo widget for root.
