Installed on F8000 with 1118 and it works: It did not work in the beginning because I hadn't uninstalled the SamyGo-Extension Widget. I then got all green, but FTP still did not work so I uninstalled SamyGo again, reinstalled Skype with my user & pass and automatic start, then I reinstalled SamyGo from the USB stick, got all green, rechecked the Autostart option in the Ticker, restarted the TV and are now able to FTP the F8000.

One suggestion: The installation instructions could be more user friendly: why didn't you deliver the whole structure needed for the Fat formated USB stick (MST or Non-MST) in 2 complete zip files to avoid end-user errors.

I would re-edit the installation procedure in the first page:
1) Uninstall SamyGo or SamyGo-Extension widget from Smart Hub
2) Uninstall/Reinstal Skype
Step 3 could be simplyfied by preparing 1 zip file per installation (MST and Non-MST) the user just unzips on his empty formated USB stick.....
3) Prepare a Fat Formated USB stick:

* Unzip attached SamyGO_data.zip to the FAT formated USB stick
* Download SamyGO.zip from: http://download.samygo.tv/F%20Series/Widgets/SamyGO.zip
* Find the file samyext4.img in the \Data directory of the downloaded SamyGO.zip and copy the file to the folder \SamyGO_data on the FAT formated USB stick.
Only this file? or also the other files from the \Data directory?
- data.zip
- run.sh
- run1.sh

*For NON-MST do this:
* Unzip the contents of SamyGO-F-SM-AutoStart-USB to the FAT formated USB stick
(where??? to the folder \SamyGO_data or to the root folder of the FAT formated USB stick? Also see the notice from Miazza: "Just to understand, in the SamyGO_data folder there must be the following files:
- samyext4.img
- data.zip
- run.sh
- run1.sh"
)
*For MST do this:
* Unpack SamyGO-F-SM-MST-Fix-USB to FAT USB
* Now you should have FAT USB with two folders: \SamyGO-F and \SamyGO_data

4) Launch Smart Hub and connect the USB stick as the only one to the TV (remove all other USB sticks)
* When the popup window appears ignore it
* Sometimes it is necessary to connect USB WHILE TV IS OFF!!!
* The widget will automatically finish installation (No need to push any buttons) and close itself
* Now SamyGO is started and telnet/ftp/etc. should work.
* To enable AutoStart reboot TV and from Main Menu -> Smart Features -> Apps Settings -> Auto Ticker -> SamyGO_AutoStart

This is for Donors and in Extras so (although it works) you should treat all of this as "beta":) If you (or somebody else) want to do it i one zip feel free to do that, for me it's much easier to just "release" fixes and not repack everything (about 130 megabytes) and reupload it every time ;) I have more important stuff to do than to wait for upload to finish :P

Okay I will add info about "ONLY"...

Incorrect!!! This hack is proven to work with multiple USB disks attached :D

I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

During the new installation I prefered to remove the USB Drive used for the recording of TV stuff...

your TV is F, but seems different to regular MST and T-FXP... I think M11 has the same, maybe he wants to share his experience with root...
TV: UE40F7000 - T-FXPDEUC-1115.0 - SamyGO Extensions on F series
TV: UE55ES7000S - T-ECPDEUC-2003.4 - SamyGO tool Right from USB - no develop account is needed
TV: UE40C6710 - T-VALDEUC 3011 - Hacking TV over Hotel mode (C650 T-VALDEUC-3009.2)
BD-Player: BD-E6100 - B-FIRBPEWWC 1063.3 - rooted, no more Cin@vi@

Yes i have F9000 but I have not tried the new root method. I'm using SEK-2500U evolution kit, so basically I have a HU8500 (SEK-2500U is the same box that ships with HU8500 and it uses the same firmware).

I don't really need root because there are other ways to backup and install apps.

I keep two USB attached permanently (even during the TV power up) - one is for the root and the other is for SUB storage. The root works perfect this way as well... (Including OSCAM autostart works perfect).

@sectroyer

F 6340, firmware MST, 1120

i gave it a try, did the installation on my 500 MB USB stick as mentioned in first post for mst users. got then two folders on stick ( SamyGO-F-SM-MST-Fix and SamyGO_data )
plug in the stick when i am in smarthub -> window appears (content of my stick) i press return (ignored the window)
then happens..... nothing.
i did checked my apps, even "more apps", nothing new in there. checked the menu for autostart apps, no samygo in there.

when i put the stick back on my pc, theres a third file created then beside the 2 folders, called .cm0013

i tried several times, with tv off, in smart hub menu and so on... never had samygo installed before. when i open skype, it closes itself. do i have to check something with skype? is there any hint for me?
