[Solved] Preferred language set not working on TV Broadcasts

Post by baco81 »

Hello there!

I am interested in listening movies, TV series and other stuff in English language which is usually broadcasted as second audio track in my country (Spain). I know that you can set the primary audio language to English on the TV menu. However, the second audio track is tagged here as either "V.O." (Original version) or "undefined" which makes the preferred audio language selection useless (It is not working at all).

I also know that you can manually switch the audio track during TV broadcast, but it takes a while as it means surfing a lot through the menu and if you change the TV channel, the audio track is annoyingly back to the first one again

For this reason, I would like to get a patch or some instructions on how to modify the B650 firmware in order to set the second audio track as default on TV broadcasts. I think we would need to find out where the firm stores the info which sets the first audio track as default during TV broadcast and change it to be the second track instead.

In other words, the goal would be to have the TV playing the TV channels' second audio tracks by default.

I would be more than grateful if somebody is kind enough to guide me into this matter.

Thank you in advance!!

Note: My TV is LE40B651T3WXXC

I think PVR code might allow this later if it doesn't have this functionality already.

Thank you Erdem_ua, but I don't see how a PVR tool could help here... Does it have (or will) an advance audio feature that enable users to choose the default audio track for every TV channel and/or other way to accomplish it which doesn't mean to be constantly switching the audio track every time the TV channel is changed?

Nop. But perhaps a button could switch audio channel soon. So you don't needed to enter menus to switch it....

Sure. I will share links to firmwares.

I think it is possible to add this hack to CI+ firmwares, but as the patches are hardcoded, more research is needed (patch not addresses, but functions). geo650 promissed to add this patch to his patcher, but only for T-CHL5DEUC-2005.0.

All required diffs for all main B series (non CIP) firmwares are available if anyone decides to make ContentLibrary application (this is wanted and welcome).

I can request the author of this patch to port to T-CHLCIPDEUC also, but we need tester who could revive TV if brick... (ExLink...?)
