Hi,

I have rooted sucessfully my samsung UA55F8000 tv with firmware T-FXPUABC-1117.0, BT-S. But FTP,telnet are not working. My skype version is 3.140723. I have used the method (Get ROOT access on F-series without develop account) to root access. Appreciate any help

If FTP and Telnet are not working, you haven't "successfully" rooted your TV :D
It's almost sure that method from current thread doesn't work with your fw version.
How about trying newest method? (especially for donors and latest firmwares): viewtopic.php?f=63&t=7982

I have installed the non-mst and now I can telnet / FTP. Thank you for your quick help. Just wanted to know what is mst / non-mst.

MST are MStar brand processors, non-MST are mostly Samsung ones. No matter, you applied the right procedure (firmware name not containing MST = non-MST :) )

Does anyone with the newer firmware investigate why the old Skype method does not work anymore?
Are there some changes or blocking parts in new FW?
Should be possible to test it for someone with rooted TV.
Is the Skype library overriden? Why it does not start sh script?

Because it's not loaded anymore :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)

What do you mean by "not loaded" anymore?
The .lib or .sh?
The lib. should be working if skype is working.
Lib can't launch .sh files at all or from specific location or user?

It's not the problem with .sh. It's the problem with the lib :) Original one still works. Ours (modified to launch .sh) doesn't work because it's not loaded anymore :)

Do we know already how it is recognised that it has been changed and not loaded?

Or do we not overwrite it correctly and original is read?

Can we still write to this location?

Yeah, it's digitally signed :)

yes, digital signature doesn't match and that's why it's not loaded :)
