Not sure why some thing are the way they are
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)

Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
Upon closer examination:
On my UE48H5500, there are 2 USB ports. The top one (which I used with no problem till now for watching movies from my USB stick) reads "Camera". The bottom one reads "USB HDD 5V 1A".
Could it be that the top port is severely underpowered (something like 50mA) and this would cause unstable operation during .img mounting procedure?
I'll try tomorrow and get back to you. Many thanks sectroyer for helping us troubleshoot step-by-step!

Eheheh i will try it!!sectroyer wrote:NFIDeus3X wrote: Is this normal??I never disconnected recording usb. You may try to copy WHOLE SamyGO directory from your rooting usb to usb that is used for recordings
then you will have one recording/rooting usb
Ty One more time
Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
No problem we might add suggestion "please try attaching second usb device for PVR"Deus3X wrote: Ty One more time

useful suggestionsectroyer wrote:No problem we might add suggestion "please try attaching second usb device for PVR"Deus3X wrote: Ty One more timeFor some of this stuff is also new since I am not using SamyGO Extensions myself
Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
Hmm, kinda difficult to achieve that since for recording you need EXT2 partition... Unless you create 2 partitions onto usb stickYou may try to copy WHOLE SamyGO directory from your rooting usb to usb that is used for recordingsthen you will have one recording/rooting usb

Hello,Lordbyte wrote:@Deus3X,
Your 3 USB-devices may be just fine for use with your average PC.
BUT .. For your TV you should use nothing slower than USB 3.0 standard.
Also, USB-device must be FAT32 formatted while you install root,
but when root is well installed, you should either record to another
device formatted as EXT4, or reformat first device to EXT4 and copy
the root-files back on it again .. This allows both root and recordings on same device, if you need.
For the root procedure can I use USB with FAT32 or it must be FAT16?
Thank you.
