Updating content of USB device

hallo,

i have a problem with my content of the usb device.
I changed (erased and added) some files and directories when
the device was connected with my computer.
Big surprise when I connected the device again to my
samsung D6500 the old content still appears in form of folders
and files. Erased folders are empty and files don't start
but they are still listed. How can i syncronize the content
on the USB device to get real content information?

Its not a bug, its a feature ????

Just from my mind, open source menu, highlight the usb, press tools (maybe some other button) there schould be update content.
