Hi! With newest Version 1.7.3.31 I have a problem when it verifies telnet access. I always get an error. I have to abort.
With the prior Version 1.5.3.4 it is working ok --> "Verifying telnet access to 192.168.1.x:23 .. Success".
I have an UE55F7000 with FW 1118.0.

It's happening that some recordings are being 100% decrypted by the tv but not downloaded on the computer. I've tried multiple times and I'm always getting a zero byte file. But their .srf files are not zero byte. While others are being successfully downloaded. Have you never experienced this behaviour before?

UPDATE: it still doesn't work, so I disabled Test H-mode serializer and turned again to wifi. It's very time consuming and sometimes it fails too, but at least it makes me obtain complete video files.

Sad to hear that certain users experience Telnet-problems.
Only explanation I can think of now, is that your SamyGO-installation is rather old.
Newer SamyGO-installations should be very very compatible with the "pure" Telnet-protocol.
I truly want to obsolete Netcat entirely

Not sure such pair can be 'old' installation, it's necessarily latest from donor's area.
Too few and too early to be reliable, but only donors reported problems for now

Does it connect for you, Zoe ?
Works perfect on my F- and H-models .. Also, sectroyer never said anything about Telnet.
Did we check the users firewall-settings .. maybe port 23 needs explicit opening?

Perfectly quickly and flawlessly on both 23 (real Telnet) and 2023 (crap Telnet), else I'd have told you.
However, my installation is not really "convential", everything modded by myself from the very first SamyGO-E
