Of course!!!! It looks you are the first one to get root working on NON-MST Shutdown TV attach usb and power on TV On which port did you get telnet?

I used port 3123 for telenet.

I reconnected the USB stick again. The TV became unstable and went through a number of reboots. I hope this is normal. It seems to have stabilised again now.

What should I look for now?

would you mind sharing with me how u got root on a non mst tv? i too have a non mst and am stuck at creating the usb flash drive. its formatted fat32 with the proper folders/files and the tv recognizes it but how do i get it to run the install script? my tv doesnt have skype and i cant get it in the app store.... ?

I tried use this tool. It is interesting.
samyGOrc -p $(pidof exeTV || pidof exeDSP) 31 --> KEY_INFO
KEY_POWEROFF=152 --> nothing
BD_KEY_POWER=2 ---> let sey reset TV
What now? How can I use this info?

Well check if ANY key shuts down your bluray or whatever you wanted to shutdown

Hello,

I checked all 254 keys.
Only one KEY can switch power off on TV. It is BD_KEY_POWER=2.
But key is not working properly, it should Power OFF TV but unfortunately it resets TV.
Why? Is it possible to change something in init.d files?
Is it any another CMD commands like micom shoutdown which will make Power Off TV (Stand By).

Skype was already installed on my TV. I have never used Skype, but I created a Skype account to make sure that Skype would start at boot. However, I am not sure if a Skype account really is needed.

The fact that you don't have Skype is most likely not related to that you have a non-MST TV. There are probably other persons on this forum, who can guide you how to install Skype, if you can't find it. I am no expert.

BTW, I'm getting "new usb device" popup each time when virtual USB mounted after power on... Is it a bug of my TV only? I found scripts regarding hidding popup, but it seems doesn't work..

BTW2, is there any information about how to add a new virtual USB to mount some network resource directly (in opposite to the way implemented by default, which puts all found network resources in one usb device)? I did it myself.. but not sure if it is the best way. (I mostly understood the scripts 02_04_vusb.init and 04_04_samba.init, but I don't see how they are running outside and in with order regarding each other and regarding other scripts).

Guys! Any ideas regarding popups? Very disturbing to get it each power on..

here is some lib which worked on F series, but does not work on H. I think devels should check what`s wrong.

you could add some samyGOrc code to send EXIT key many times with some sleep loop (until you get this popup automatically closed - timeout is needed to be adapted personally...).

First way is more robust, the second is desperate, but should work.

The second way will disturb me another way - by canceling any navigation activities in TV during that period..
Although I perhaps will experiment with it.. Can you link me where I can find more info regarding samyGOrc? Please note that I'm not familiar with linux at all.. (although I managed to add and mount additional virt usb myself )

I have tried to root a UE40H7005 without success so far. It is a non-MST. Firmware: T-GFSDEUC-1142.0, T-GOLDEUS3-1008. OTN and OTA are disabled of course.
I have attached a screenshot of the SamyGO installation screen. When I restart the TV, it starts up normally and nothing else happens. It does not respond to netcat or telnet. There is probably an issue with the Skype hack.

Does anyone have any idea about how I can make it work?
What can I do to debug it?

The same here. UE55H7000 with fw 2130

EDIT: I have disconnect the TV from powersupply. After reconnect, it reboots three or four times and now it is stable. Now i can connect with telnet on port 3123 and FTP also works
