You said it used to work on another PC but not on your new one, that's it?
Maybe try to check/disable firewall/antivirus.

There could be also a (sometimes happening) problem of empty keyfiles. Go into PVRdecoder->Tools->ERASE all keys from CONTENTS... then Tools->Extract all keys to CONTENTS... And try again decrypting a recording.

On the old pc I have the situation that some files get decrypted without errors and others get the same error as described about - therefore i tried another one
i will check the erase keys... and expect keys..opinion and will respond to you.

I have F6500 TV.
I have the same problem with telnet error (and "Verifying telnet access to .." is way slower than in 1.5.3.4 and finally crash) but everything what I need to do in 1.7.3.31 is to press ABORT then press Refresh button and everything appears almost instant. I can see list of recorded files immediately. I have no problem with decrypting at all, nor in 1.7.3.31 or 1.5.3.4.

Additionally with 1.7.3.31 I have no problem with decoding even many files (recordings) when 1.5.3.4 has always crashed after some time. Than I will stay with 1.7.3.31 event with Abort&Refresh solution

A tried to fix telnet but without any success (switch off Firewall, change ports, replacing dropbearmulti from "Fixing SamyGO telnet/SSH/SCP/bash on C/D/E/F series" thread) then I gave up because my skills has ended.

Version 1.7.3.31 can't connect with telnet port 23. If a firewall would block the port (I haven't activated any firewall at all), old Version would also fail.
Futhermore I have no problem if I connect with PuTTY to the Telnet-Server on TV on port 23. I think there is a problem with your telnet-module in the PVRDecoder.
As zoelechat said, I have FW 1118.0, therefore only new rooting-method works on my TV.

I am very much aware of this issue .. My real problem is that I am unable to trigger
the problem on any of my TV?s. Also, the people that are part of the development
also seems to be unable to trigger the problem.
Zoelechat, a moderator on this board, made a calculation of the "error-frequency" for users,
and came up with a number in the twenties. That means the software WORKS for 70-80% of the userbase.
These facts makes it rather "tedious" to correct the problem (so far).
I will have a look (again again again) at the code this comming weekend.

Should I take photos of SamyGo-Widget initialisation? Maybe my Root- procedure is different or the things in the past on TV have some influence?!..

To exclude the problem with firewall you could install some ubuntu and run PVRDecoder under wine

First of all, SamyGO PVRDecoder seriously upsets my antivirus protection (AVG AntiVirus Free). It says it contains "Potentially unwanted application Tool.UB.dropper". I am not sure if this was a false warning, or if PVRDecoder really contains evil code.

After making the possibly unwise decision to add an exception for PVRDecoder in AVG, I could finally start the program. I added the IP address of my TV, and PVRDecoder found my recordings. To test the program, I selected a few recordings. When I pushed the button "Decode selected recordings" the program started to work. But after a few seconds, my TV rebooted. In PVRDecoder, a pop-up window showed up:
"Socket Error # 10053 Software caused connection abort"

I restarted PVRDecoder and tried again. I selected a single recording, and this time it looked like it worked. But when I looked in the output folder, the output file was far too small. When I tried to play the file, it only contained the first picture of the recordning. After I tried a second time, the TV rebooted again.

It should be noted that I have a non-MST H-series TV (firmware T-GFSDEUC-1142.0). Maybe PVRDecoder has to be updated to support my TV?
