I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)

well previously someone was going to keep my todo list/users wishlist but I think they gave up :)

Nope, no patch is permanent, it's expected you have to patch on every startup.
