[ROOT] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares

Since I have root access with 1226, the option "software-update" via the normal TV menu is greyed out! Don't know why, hopefully it's greyed out forever now. Same message as on my TV where OTN is disabled via service-menu: "function is not available".

on my PS64F8500 FW 1125.1 the "software update" option is greyed when I watch "digital" channels or over hdmi. when I switch to analog channels, it's again white and it's possible to update the TV firmware.

p.s. just checked, same situation on both UE32F6400 (FW 2110.1) and UE46H7000 (FW 2750.3).

A small issue:
When starting TV and my F7xxx reports samygo is started, it's no good idea to press the "teletext" or "smarthub" button immediately. Because you can use for example the "teletext" then for some seconds, but after this seconds TV crashes and I have to reboot. However, when I wait 20 seconds or so before I press the "teletext" button after TV reports that samygo is activated, it is no problem. So I guess not everything is started correctly in this time. Same problem with my F6xxx.

It's no big issue, I just want to report it here for the devs.

Well rooting worked. The problem is with you SamyGO_data directory Probably bad/broken samyext4.img!!!

Hi.

I had my TV root some time ago with the old method but because I had ota enabled it seems my firmware was updated to 1120 so today I tried the new method.

My TV has firmware T-MST12DEUC-2110.1 and because I was having a lot of problems after rooting (SamyGO installs fine but ftp didn?t work and TV shutdowns after some seconds) I decided to factory reset it (as another did because he also had the old root installation).

After the factory reset the ftp works fine but my TV crashes/shutsdown if I have the usb connected. Any ideas? Some files that I can to post so someone could give me a hint?
