I rooted already a while ago on firmware 2130.Works fine.
Just a question to the developers / creators of SamyGO: since you working on more recent firmwares to make them rootable it would be interesting what things have changed in more recent firmwares. Samsung has released quite a few updates for the H Series but, as usual, never a changelog.

What the point in changelog if they mostly introduce more "security" and make SamyGO less stable ? :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!

Hi all,
I have already posted this question in samsung series H support forum but I received no answer, maybe that was not the proper section. So I try also here...

I rooted my H6670 following this thread guide (thank you), then configured the samba init script with my server info (synology nas).
I am able to browse the samba server directories from SamyGO virtual usb.... But everytime i try to play a video file, the loading starts but before anything happens the TV reboots... This happens regardless the video format (i tryed h264 but also "old" divx). If I load the same file on a usb key, everything plays flawlessly.
Firmware version is 2130, but i had the same problem with older one (11xx,don't remember the exact version now).
What am I doing wrong? Am i using the proper method for playing media from a samba share? Or is there a better method?
Does media play work from samba on H series? Is there any other method, apart from samygo virtual usb, to browse samba share files and play them?
Could I check some log file to try to understand why the tv freezes and then reboots when playing media from samba share (of course, this is watchdog in action.. already tried to remove it from service menu and nothing changes, except for the fact that I have to power off tv) ?
Thank you!

Probably you configured your samba share INCORRECTLY. TV doesn't have read OR write access to your samba share and fails :) Simple as that :)

Hi sectroyer,
Thank you for your quick answer.
I have configured with rw permissions in samba init script.
The samba share is used also in other media players (popcorn hour) and it is fully accessible.
Yesterday I tried again to read a file and it started the play for one second then reboot.
So unfortunately it seems not to be a permissions problem..
Any other hint?
Can I check some log?
Thanks!
