But I, like sectroyer, do not expect simple boolean questions.

"Should I try A or try B" ... In my opinion you try both, learn what is to be learned,
and some day here on forum you can say stuff like "I tried that, and I advise you to do B" :-)

You seem so unsure on your feet, that even the smallest effort seems daunting to you.
Do you have the mojo and jedi to hack your TV, carry on ... But is your heart in this ?

Or are you just like everybody tell me that everybody has become here .. just looking for service, and bye-bye mam :-)

I told you .. sectroyer demands attention and work ... Me less so, but still :-)

ok i see...u tell me that i need to get more deep into that stuff by myself, or else i will not get the job done, right?
i have to admit that i did search a simple how-to for a functionality i would like to have...and did find it with my H6500 and PVRDecoder!
i got no problems with this advice at all, and everything went straight without any problems..

i held on the hope, that some kind of simple wrong trigger or setting was the reason for all the problems here...i remember you told me just to try another magic value, and if that means crashing my PWU, it has to be that way!
that was the first moment when i realized, that doing what u guys are telling me without thinking about what i do by myself, can't be the right choice!

just to make that clear, english is not my motherlanguage and that may also be the reason i sometimes don't find the right words to transport what i mean exactly! but i really try hard!

and as i told u before, it is not my kind to give up as soon as any problems are standing in my way, and i am willing to go as far as it takes or i am able to!

and when u see that i am unsure and daunted, that is absolutly right! because i don't have the safety, of just erase all and start from scratch, so no good enviroment for try and error, or experiment with things that i just got dangerous superficial knowledge of..

once more: i want to learn, but as i see, i have to read a lot of documentation, and get myself really into it! and earn all the skills i need for this project!
i now asume, that u won't do this work for me, or with me together..i will have to do it by my own...and i want to do so! but i am not sure, that i am able to..

Thats a much better attitude. You are fucked, and you know it.
The next step is that you want to this to change .. and you do .. check.

So, when you come here on forum with a question, you have already tested everything
possible about your question .. You can already tell us that solution A, B and C dosent work, and that
you have experimented with solution D, but have issues .. That will get you massive support instantly.

Your only risk here is that you might blend too much into the "gimme gimme gimme"-crowd, and you dont want that.

I have supported you to my very best, and I will keep on doing so ... just dont wine, and dont ask boolean
questions that reveal you dident bother to try before asking :-)

Reverse enginering is a tough job, but after suffering for a few years, you start to see whats going on, and you
become the guy everybody asks questions ... questions YOU will feel are silly and noob :-)

Such is the way of the world, the student, the teacher, and the mentor. For ever and ever.
You are the student, and you get kicked around. This is the price you must pay the Mentor and Teacher for
access to the knowledge they gained over the years.

Lean in, work hard, pay respect .. and you will soon part with the role as student :-)

So, does sufficient rights to storage media exists for the .so decoder ?
If in doubt, tell us what you think about current rights, and list those rights.

We might lay a trap for sectroyer here, - if we settle this issue in public, and we do it wrong,
I think he will pop in and tell us that we are idiots, and we should of cause [insert solution here].

Same goes for almost everything else regarding the .so?s he made .. He cant stand people getting all
the way to 95% done implementing his tools .. He HAS to push users that shows effort and dilligence to the final goal.

People only pushing it to 10% and then wants to reap all the benefits leave his heart cold .. or so I have felt when I was
in your position and I decided that the world needed the PVRDecoder for F-series and beyond ..

Picking his brain is fun and challanging, and you gotta think fast .. But it can be done.

Also, I saw that Zolechat was kind enough to provide link to the switches documentation .. Go read :-)

All knowledge needed is most surely here on this forum .. in the mind of its members .. Ask the right questions
and you can learn mostly ANYTHING about your TV here ..

maybe the access rights to the srf file aren't correct?
Well if you are getting such files it means you are STILL using it. UnDRM does NOT work together with this lib :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!

very thankfull again!
i renamed auto start script from init.d folder and also the libPVRMakeFixedKey.so from /mnt/opt/privateer/usr/libso/
rebootet..
libUnDRM.log still says
[UnDRM] Error openning input file: /dtv/usb/sda1/CONTENTS/20151125220220.srf
[UnDRM]

btw.: on my H6500 both libraries are installed, and i only use PVRdecoder..but this works perfect!
just to let you know..thanks for the idea anyway! wa worth a try!

still need a lot more testing and time, but i don't think that the access right matter anyway.. i did chmod a+x on that srf file and all groups allready got all rights - means read / write / execute..
i have to find somethang else..and i am searching n thinking :))

just a little update:
i did a new recording and as soon as i ran:
/mtd_rwcommon/samyGOso -d -A -l /mtd_rwcommon/libUnDRM.so /dtv/usb/sdb1/CONTENTS/20151130090415.srf 1 (or 10 or 34)
my tv crashes again and NO log is written...sorry i mean no dtv/unDRM.log file is created!

a new try without the CI module inserted and putty via telnet and not via SSH
tv crashed again, and command feedback got stuck even earlier

Code: Select all

/mnt # /mtd_rwcommon/samyGOso -d -A -l /mtd_rwcommon/libUnDRM.so /dtv/usb/sdb1/C
ONTENTS/20151130092317.srf 1
samyGOso v1.2.4 (c) bugficks 2013, sectroyer 2014
Injecting '/mtd_rwcommon/libUnDRM.so' resident: '0'
mprotect: 0x4227c020
dlopen: 0x424a0d80
but i think this is because of the telnet protocol instead of ssh protocol

Code: Select all

/mtd_rwcommon/samyGOso -d -A -l /mtd_rwcommon/libUnDRM.so /dtv/usb/sdb1/CONTENTS/20151130092317.srf 1 -B
is crashing as well

You should run:

Code: Select all

ls -l /dtv/usb/sdb1/CONTENTS/20151125122109.srf
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)

as far as i know ls ist a list command, like the dir command in DOS..
i see enough rights on this file

Code: Select all

# ls -l /dtv/usb/sdb1/CONTENTS/20151125122109.srf
-rwxr-xr-x 1 app app 929021952 Jan 1 1970 /dtv/usb/sdb1/CONTENTS/20151125122109.srf
#
# ls -l /dtv/usb/sdb1/CONTENTS/20151130092317.srf
-rwxr-xr-x 1 app app 190889984 Jan 1 00:05 /dtv/usb/sdb1/CONTENTS/20151130092317.srf
it sucks that i don't get a unDRM.log anymore..seems like SamyGOso command doesn't run till the end, or the library doesn't even get injected..
i need another log, to comprehend what is going on..seeking again..

on thing i found strange is, that i stumbled over Golf.S shouldn't this be GFS-something?
because offline decrypting got a gfs.key AND a golfs.key..but used the gfs.key on my device..still more research to do
Full TV Info:
http://ctrlv.it/id/3211/637271526

golf.S is the kernel 0143 version, and GFS is the firmware version :) thought it might be some, but it isn't

I think crashing is good. It means it's working. Upload your exeAPP somewhere. I think on your TV decoding is blocked and you might have to downgrade firmware :)

sectroyer wrote:(...) I think on your TV decoding is blocked and you might have to downgrade firmware :)
i don't think so :)

i finally solved that problem, and i'm pretty happy 'bout that :)
the key to success was a alternative library from TheGopher, which i used instead of the libPVRMakeFixedKey from sectroyer..
now i can decrypt my recordings offline, and it works absolutly perfect without any problems!
i'm so glad that we found that solution, i can't tell u guys :)

much respect to TheGopher, who really put some work in it, and compiled a new library, originally for himself, but as it turned out, the exact same library works on my slightly different device as well!

hmk, PVRdecoder still doesn't work, because of that not matching library for my device, but maybe we could do somethang 'bout that in the future!?

TheGopher and Lordbyte definitly got an entry in my "Cool Guys-book"! i owe you some, guys..
But i also would like to thank you sectroyer and also Zoelechat for your efforts!
thx!!
