I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)

Re: [!!!] Rooting H on latest firmwares
No, above 2130 you need current method, says 1st line of 1st postoperalover wrote:Does this fact mean I can use "skype method"?

If you can't find them, ignore them.operalover wrote:Also I can't find these options neither in user menu, nor in service menu.

Re: [!!!] Rooting H on latest firmwares
Hi.I'm a new here.
Thanks to everybody to make this forum useful for newbies like me.
I have a Samsung Smart TV UE48H6640SLXXC (Spanish MediaMarkt model)
Model Code: UE48H6600
Software Version: T-MST14DEUC-2781.0
OTN Support - OFF
OTA Support - OFF
I want a root TV with new method of rooting TV H series.
what I alredy read I need 2 USB.
Can I use a 3.0 USB stick for this metod? (they are faster read/write then 2.0 connected in my PC which have only 2.0 USBslot)
My TV only have a 2.0 USB slot.
1. USB (TV CAMERA) already connected skype camera
2. USB (5V 0.5A) free
3. USB (HDD 5V 1A) free
I see about to connect root 3.0 USB to second USB free slot and PVR 3.0 usb to third USB free slot
The PVR usb can be anyone or has to be good one write/read spead and can I unplug this one anytime without risk?
If I unplug a ROOT USB with TV off and then I turn it on. what will happend to TV to prevent future plug/unplug another usb stick/camera ......
What I understand root USB is needed to have acces to the TV ftp, telnet.
Once rooted, strongly avoid unplugging of rooting USB, especially when TV is ON.
or I have to do this and remove root every time when I want to plug any other device to the TV
Notice: In case you change root method to Skype one, to properly remove current root, last action you HAVE to do before unplugging and cleaning USB is to Telnet
I want to try this method I don't want downgrade because I use Skype.
[App] libUSBPopDown (E/F/)H (prevent startup vusb popup) or the other ones. Where they are installed inside the TV or on root USB stick?
Thanks in advance
Regards

Re: [!!!] Rooting H on latest firmwares
How could OTN be OFF? It's greyed out on your fw. Hurry to block on router level, next fw is no longer rootable.notengo13 wrote:Software Version: T-MST14DEUC-2781.0

Yes, plug what you want where you want, doesn't matter if 2.0/3.0notengo13 wrote:Can I use a 3.0 USB stick for this metod?
As long as you plug/unplug rooting USB ONLY when TV is off, it shouldn't cause any problem, you just won't have root when booting without it.notengo13 wrote:If I unplug a ROOT USB with TV off and then I turn it on. what will happend to TV to prevent future plug/unplug another usb stick/camera ......

Follow link, check related topic and apply (very short) procedure, you'll find a clue about "where" at the 5th wordnotengo13 wrote:[App] libUSBPopDown (E/F/)H (prevent startup vusb popup) or the other ones. Where they are installed inside the TV or on root USB stick?
