[ROOT] H "Network" root (FW<=Oct.2015, no T-GFS)

Hi,

I unzipped SamyGo.zip and installsamygo.zip to USB. Copied samyext4 img file to correct folder in USB.

Turned off TV
Plugged in USB to TV

Turned off TV

In PC, plugged in USB

I do NOT see these files:
insmod_qca.sh OR insmod_bcm.sh
network_type_info.txt
wifi_vendor.txt
SamyGO/vermagic.txt

Please tell me if this is correct or what exactly I need to do?

sam.log ? :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)

If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

Here are files and screenshots
After your first screenshots you following:
Power OFF TV and UNPLUG USB.
On PC check USB. You should see following files:
insmod_qca.sh OR insmod_bcm.sh
network_type_info.txt
wifi_vendor.txt
SamyGO/vermagic.txt (in some cases you might NOT see this file but if root is working do NOT worry :) )
Make a backup of those files, they WILL CHANGE AFTER NEXT BOOT and you WILL NEED THEM LATER!!!
Double click patch.bat (Linux/Unix/Mac OS X users should use patch.sh) wait for it to finish and make print screen of output.
Connect USB to TV
Power ON TV and wait 5 minutes.
Now SamyGO is started and telnet/ftp/etc. should work.

do you double click on pach.bat? or pach.sh


I follow steps 11 ==> 17 from first post(this tread)and my tv have 7 open ports: 21, 22, 23, 33, 8000, 8080, 8888, but not have netcat ports open

method not based on skype---> do you use 2 memory stick USB? 1 for rec and second for data samygo folders?

PS: on my tv work ok oscam on satelit and dvb-c channels scramble

Yeah, I am able o FTP now, I copied some widgets by stting the TV store to NewZealand. Switched back to Switzerland. But channels don't come up. I cannot scan for channels, it just doesnt do anything. I cannot even run the setup again!, It is disabled.
I also cannot access extended service menu(INFO+MENU+MUTE+POWER)

The TV is absolutely unusable now :-(

When the TV is off remove the USB memory stick with data samygo and try to adjust your TV, After turn OFF your tv plug in memory stick with samygo, After turn on your tv

PS : read the instructions carefully before doing something to your TV

when do you do this INFO+MENU+MUTE+POWER ? when your tv is turn off?

Did not worked for me ... (Softwareversion: T-MST14DEUC-2790.1)
Setup cannot extract the data.zip (see screenshot)

Can someone please help me?
