I have h6470 with V2770 and I am still waiting for a good solution. 180sec are to worst for the startup and i dont want to downgrade the Firmware, because of the highly brick risk

Yeah, you can make it more if you want by using libAlert. I use it to make my start up AWESOME

Okay, so I was able to take it back to the store and get a new one! I have not connected it to the network and I will not until I am sure I have blocked updates.

So far it seems I can add a bogus DNS entry for msecnd.net, but it does not allow me add *.msecnd.net so it is not working properly. What might work would be if I manually blocked ALL of the hosts, like abcd.msecnd.net - can you please post a list of the hosts and I can test it?

List is UNLIMITED. Also samsung can use (for example) domain: samsung.msecnd.net and ANY subdomains (a.samsung.msecnd.net, b.samsung.msecnd.net, etc.)

Tomato firmware is fine, it allows to block "URLs containing string". Doesn't mean no other fw can do it, just talking about the one I know
