JU6070 Common Interface Problem

Post by Hakan »

I am using a Common Interface CAM and CI card on my 55JU6070. The card and CAM module is CI compatible (not CI+). My problem is that the CI Card works for some channels, but not for the others. The message "scram belled signal" is dlsplayed. I have read that the TV is CI+ 1.3 compatible and to ask Samsung support in case of such an error message. I have applied to Samsung support, but they responded that it should be related to the pay tv service provider. As you can guess the service provider also takes no responsibility. I wonder if any body could point me to a setting (i.e. Service option) that could work for CI backwards comparability.

Do you try scan again your channels when your module is in CI (tv)

Actually I did the first scan with the CI card&module plugged in the TV. The TV found all channels, but unscramble only some of them. Furthermore EPG info is displayed even for the channels that are not unscrambled. Do you think clearing the channel list and rescanning would help?

epg is not scrambled and can be viewed by everyone even without any ci.
