HDD tv recorded programs to desktop drive

Hello,

I would like to transfer the files from my external hdd to my computer because I want to see the recorded programs and movies on my pc. I have watched the wiki page, but my television isn't mentioned at the compatibility page. I have the Samsung UE40ES7000.

Is this above possible with the UE40ES7000? I have software version: T-ECPDEUC-2020.0 , BT-G.
I also read that there are different ways to root your tv. Which way is the right way in this context. I only want to see the recorded tv video files on my computer. What is the most simple way for this?

You first have to downgrade to a fw earlier than 2014 using fw 0000: https://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=7544

Once rooted you can use PVRdecoder: https://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=6511

Thanks for the reply.
I have complete step 1, but after that the television made a smart hub update and then i manually switched of updates in the tv and blocked some site domains in the router.

The smart hub doesn't start anymore, it keeps loading in the corner of the screen and sometimes the tv does nothing. Is this problem caused because the tv was updating the smart hub?

Please help me out.

I'd say it's more because you block "some" (too many?) domains and they're necessary for Smarthub to start. Better unblock everything and disable OTN support in service menu. Anyway, auto updates shouldn't happen on E.
If still no luck, a factory reset might help now you downgraded.

Btw, to which fw version did you downgrade? You didn't stay on 0000, right?

fw 0000 is just intermediate step for downgrade, you shouldn't stay on it...
You don't need that link, it's mirror to 0000 you already installed. However check inside spoiler just below it, there's a bunch of links to various versions. Since I see the question coming, go for 2003.4

Thanks again for the reply. I have now installed 2003.4 correct. The Smart hub works again.

I am now working with the second link: 1 Skype is installed , 2A I clicked at the link InstallSamyGO tool, I clicked at the other page download 'archive'. I have formatted the usb and placed the map InstallSamygo onto the usb stick. Then I restarted the tv and plugged in the usb stick.

The problem is that in the smart hub the program InstallSamygo is not coming. How is this possible? I put the files in the map InstallSamygo and i have installed skype properly.

Do you have an idea where I goes wrong?

Hello the problem is solved i formatted the usb stick in FAT32 and i saw somewhere that it must be FAT.

Hello again. I have succesfully rooted the tv and installed SamyGo PVR Decoder on the computer. When I tried to decode the selected recordings the program is working hard, but there don't come files to my hard disk on the computer. Some recordes files the PVR Decoder can't find the programmes the key.

Do you have an idea what is going wrong?
