HDMI CEC on signal

Hi all, I've got a UE37D6100 with a Yamaha AV receiver attached (RXV379).
Everything works fine with the CEC controlling the Yamaha.. auto off, volume etc.. but when I turn the TV on the Yamaha doesn't fire up. I can however get it to turn on via the hdmi menu on the D6100.. so I know everything is talking to each other.

Any idea why the D6100 isn't sending the 'on' signal to the receiver on turn on?
