well go to settings and check firmware version. But there is NO situation when you should NOT disable updates. Even if you are on "latest firmware" you should disable them. We already had users who had "latest firmware" and some of them did NOT listen to us and did NOT disable updates. After few months this "latest firmware" was already rooted and those did NOT disable updates now had even newer firmware and did NOT get root second time

So, no Problem i no need to destoy my new TV, in case the latest Firmware are already on Bord...right?
But i have to (try) to do to block the further updates suddenly...right?

A other question....My Internet Router at home require a Code from Computer and Mobile phone who want to go to Internet. Mean for the first use i have to set (Network Adapter men?) this code on my new Computer or Mobile phone. Otherwise can?t connect to Internet. How about this Samsung TV, will he have a Chance to do Firmware update/upgrade also without this code anyhow?

So sorry .. Specific router mechanics and support is beoynd scope of this forum.
But my best guess would be that router implements a MAC-filter, and thus answer would be .. no updates without code

no updates without code...sounds good...it will save my day . Because, like i read now on Manual from my Internet Router: "This Router can?t block single/individual webside?s....mean no black or White list for single Webside available".

So, now i received my UE 48JU6450 TV. I not yet connected to Internet (because my router can?t block a Webside) ), and i already check the Firmware Version. It Show: "1440.8 , Last update 01.01.2015"....so it seem like it?s still the first Version.

It will be any other Solution out there for block the Firmwareupdate soon, and will be also a New Version from samygo for the J series available soon?

1240 was earlier You should have something like this Besides you do NOT need root/samygo if you do NOT block updates

You should go buy a cheap router that allows blocking single pages/domains,
and put it in front of your TV ... so it sits between TV and your "stupid" non-bloking router.

Thus you CAN block the samsung update servers AND enjoy the internet-capabilities of your TV.
