PN59D6500 restarting issue

Ok guys i have looked up everywhere and have tried almost everything except actually getting into the service menu which didnt work when i pressed mute 2 5 8 exit on my US plasma tv. i bought it from someone else who thought it might be caps so i thought it would be an easy fix but seemed to have good caps. it just restarts randomly. i can make it restart everytime if i try to have smarthub work as it is a smart tv. the firmware is 1018. ive held the enter button to revert to stock settings on the tv but it didnt help. ive setup the codes for the service menu on my phone and when i get home im going to take a close look at this. update:
it seems to be that the system will restart itself after about a minute of being on. now this was different before the software update as it took close to 15 mins before the touch buttons on the tv became non responsive and everything kinda froze on. The only reason i do not think its caps is when i try to start the smarthub it says starting then downloading or installing then it restarts.
