You may have to "fiddle" with the "magic value" .. (Settings --> Other)

Start with zero, and increase in small steps, or try random (fairly low) values .. its anybodys best guess.

If not model H ... tell us more about TV

hello all ,

I need your help with PVRDecoder, for an UE48H6400 ROOTED on 2130.0 firmware.
When i click on "decode selected recordings" i have an error message with PVRDecoder v1.8.2.53:

"UnDRM.log never seemed to appear in /dtv .. 5 second timeout expired. Cannot continue.
Process FAILED somewhere down the road for 20160315195003.srf."

With PVRDecoder v1.7.3.31 i can decode my records on .ts file on my PC, but when i start it with VLC, VLC can't play it.............

I don't know what is the problem???? Can you help me please ?

This sounds like an issue with the PVRDecoder I was never able to fix completly.
At times it will fail to set correct permissions for the uploaded plugins loader (SamygoSO)
When time comes to do some actual decoding the plugin-loader on TV needs permission to run ..

Try manually "chmod 777 SamygoSO" on the TV, and try again.

Im using UE40ES6800 T-MST10PDEUC-1033.1, BT-G and suddenly recently i got problems with PVRDecode tested all 3 versions from first post all failed to retrive the key
I tried different things even switched to netcat protocol nothing helped, then i tried to change the path for TV working tool-directory from /mtd_rwcommon to /mtd_rwarea and everything started working again
im not sure if its relevant but the file that appeared in /mtd_rwarea had following info
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 0 11524 Jan 1 00:54 libPVRdumpkeys.so (PVRDecoder version 1.7.3.31 used to decode recording)
whereas the file present in /mtd_rwcommon had following data
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 0 11524 Jan 1 1980 libPVRdumpkeys.so
size is the same but date end attributes are different

Thats actually helpfull ..

When I originally developed the software I chose to use /mtd_rwcommon for uploading the pugins
for no other reason than "it worked for me" .. I am actually fairly ignorant regarding the "TV side" stuff.

/mtd_rwcommon was a poor choice seen in retrospect.
/mtd_rwarea is much better choice, and if I ever release an update /mtd_rwarea should be default.

Hello all, I have the following Problem: Some weeks ago, I was able to download / decrypt records without Problems on my TV Samsung UE55F6500. Since a short time, I am not able to decrypt the files anymore because the download / decrypt gives the following error: 'Unable to retrive 20160423041507.key. No point in continuing copy-process..'
I can't remember to have changed anything, so don't know why it doesn't work anymore. Has anyone got an idea?

Make sure the keydumper on TV still has executable rights (+x)

Thanks for your feedback. libPVRdumpkeys.so has execution rights (-rwxrwxrwx) in /mtd_rwcommon (I also tried /mtd_rwarea earlier). For older recordings the keydumper and the following download/decode works but not for new ones (starting around End of March). The keydumper does not return the key, it aborts with Debug Code: 0x00013639 (see logfile

samyGOPVRDecoder.log

).
Also to mention: Some time ago I installed libPVRtoTS but I think it never worked properly, I also tried to download the newest .srf - files and opened them with the Player but they still seem to be encrypted, so it shouldn't be the Problem that those new recordings are not encrypted at all...
Once during the past Weekend I was able to extract all keys to the CONTENTS folder, for some unknown reason it worked then. But all other tries aborted because the key could not be extracted, so I fear that I will have Problems with new recordings again.

Is it possible that there is a timeout, after which the keydumper aborts? I have a lots of recordings on this harddisc and sometimes it takes some time when I start a playback on the TV. There is turning wheel on the upper right side of the TV that says that the recording is being started...
Also, the key extraction sometimes works for quite a lot of records from the past, but it suddenly breaks at about End of March (see logfile

Is there an adjustable timeout for the keydumper?

libPVRdumpkeys.so doesn't need execution rights, samyGOso does
Also check if you don't have empty (0 bytes) .key's in CONTENTS folder. If so, delete them all.
