BBC iPlayer: Something went wrong loading this programme

BBC iPlayer has stopped working on my F Series television.

Although the app loads, when I try to play a programme, 'The Hunt' episode 1, I receive the following error:



Seems to happen with most programmes, though every now and then something will load but this is rare.

I tried using BBC iPlayer on my Android tablet and desktop PC and all programmes seem to work fine, which confirms my DNS service UnoTelly, which makes it seem like I am in the UK to avoid geo-restriction, is working.

I tried manually removing the folder 11101301701 from /mtd_unirw/rwcommon/widgets/normal and /mtd_unirw/rwcommon/widgets/user, and then FTP copying over the unzipped BBC iPlayer app from SamsungApps List (for free apps) in the Extras forum to both directories. I removed the extra version number from the folder so it is called 11101301701.

Please advise if anyone else is experiencing this, and what else I can try?

UnoTelly have confirmed this is a known issue they are working on.

Sorry, I am just seeing this now.

I am not sure we are allowed link to it, although you should be able to find the app list in the donor forum.
