I would like to inform that there is NO "good for rooting firmware". From tests I know that rooting works on currently ALL released firmware but as soon as I release root you will get auto updated to "some new" firmware that will block rooting No point asking about or being interested in root if you do NOT have updates blocked on router. You should also CONFIRM if blocking works. It's easy to mess up but it's also easy to test. Tons of people DO NOT TEST if blocking works. Most of them get unwanted updates
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. I changed my WiFi router and unfortunately forgot to block updates... and now my JS8000 is with latest update. I hope later in the future for possible downgrade...

What version do you have now ? Are updates on new router BLOCKED ?

Good. If blocked correctly you will be able to root TV
