If your TV accepts patched firmware, then yes. You do not need cable. Just in case you bric your TV. Make sure you set "debug" in Service menu and especialy "Watchdog Off".
I think you need fw 2006 (or maybe 2007 is good? - try activate 2007 and after try flash original 2006 firmware - might you have success?)

Factory reset makes some headache to you, it does not help change firmware. Do not touch it. Do not change any settings in SM except watchdog and rs232-jack.
Yes, you need ExLink cable. No other way to get back to 2006 firm. So called russian firmware is just patched 2006 firmw with samygo 0.24 patcher. Anything more.

Actualy i have no experience in flashing CI+ over ExLink. Because flashing manualy can brick CI+ TV.
Wait for memmber who knows better the situation, ok? I can`t help you, i`m not sure i know how to avoid authuld...
Open question:
What if we run RSA-Dissabler just before to flash firmware manualy?

Nothing. RSA-Disabler here for make exeDSP to allow the flashing from unsigned firmwares...
After exeDSP recalculates hashes and write it to TV as its original firmwares.
But when you flashing by manually, absolutely it doesn't make any affect since exeDSP doesn't aware about flashing process.
