OK, now I tried it with a virtual machine with XP - no rection (tried two different cables, putty and hyperterminal). I have got no reaction from the tv (debug mod is on).
Then I tried it with an old PC with XP - same results (means no results at all).

I think I have to give it up.

unplug allcables from tv and leave it for atleast 5-10 minutes. after that plug only the power cord and the exlink cable. start the hyper terminal and power on the. wait a couple of minutes and see if it comes.

Make loopback test and make sure your cable is OK.

Connecting Rx and Tx?

OK, loopback test: When I have plugged the exlink cable to the pc and start putty I get hyroglyphes. When I make a connection between Rx and Tx it stops writing hyroglyphes and I can see what I am typing.

I unplugged all cables from the tv for about have an hour. I plugged in the exlink cable, startet putty (no hyroglyphes) and plugged in the power cable. Then I startet the tv -> nothing, and after 20 minutes the tv shuts down itself !!!

This is the DKU-5 cable I bought: http://www.amazon.de/Datenkabel-Nokia-C ... 564&sr=8-1

Can you make DKU-5 cable to be recognized as COM1? (device manager)

Same result - no reaction (COM1). And the TV turns off itself after about 15 min. What else can I do?
