ue40h6400aw u.k no teletext service red button

living in the u.k, i bought this model imported from france, but i cannot get bbc red button teletext service, is there anything i can do in the service menu to enable teletext service, could i flash the firmware ue40h6400ak over ue40h6400aw, i just want the teletext service that i can get on my other tv bbc news teletext

There are two trigger for this:
One is in Service Menu "Local Set" - http://bilder.hifi-forum.de/medium/728026/4_197239.jpg
This has to be adjusted to your local area... I had also an EU Model and had to change to EU_GER to get HbbTV (online services, "new" teletext, medias, etc)
Furthermore you have to active this data services: Menu - > System - > Enable data service

I would check if the second is not grey out or even visible. If its not there you have to do step one.
But to access this "Local Set" you have enter the service menu (FACTORY+3SPEED) with special RC or mobile phone with Infrared or build your own:

Read carefulll and do NOT change values in Service menu just to see what happens (or not) - This can easly brick your TV!

thanks for great advice, do i have to input the ir codes in my samsung s4 manually, as im not in germany but the u.k does it make any difference so long as i can get text for bbc teletex, also will i still be able to get all u.k channels, as i can get them now except hd channels

If you have a Samsung Galaxy S4 just use this app it works great with the S4

can anyone do a walkthrough using the above app, once im in service menu what to alter and what not to, how step by step please

I use the app SRC from my galaxy s4. Then for navigate in menu I prefer to use original samsung tv remote for tv.
Arrows up&down to move ENTER to select
Arrows left&right change the values be aware of what you change ther can BRICK your TV.
Read twice before you change something.

Don't set it to GER... Just toggle and use the one which makes most sense. I would guess there will be UK also... But don't know actually...

changed local to uk and turned on data service, iv got teletext on red button channel data service, but no hd channels

how do i do that. im using an aerial and not sat dish, unless im reading you wrong, where is that function located exactly
