Now rc.local is completly blank and I don't manage to put anything in there :( How do I get it back the way it was? I have made a 'cat /dev/bml0/7 > /dtv/usb/sda1/dev_bml0_07.img' earlier by following this guide: http://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=956&start=0 but I got stuck at the part where I had to write the partition number in the beginning. Terefore I took help from my friend...bad decision :( Now I'm too afraid to turn my tv off until I get some help from you experts...please help
btw my fw is T-CHL5DEUC
Thanks
once more i ask my self why i made the whole f..g work with the extensions pack and why people waste time to write wiki article.

but i guess your changes aren't stored on the memory chip. if it were so simple to do the hacks with a remount

you can check it with:

Code: Select all

mkdir /dtv/test
mount -t squashfs <rootfs partition> /dtv/test
cat /dtv/test/etc/rc.local
if rc.local is ok you can restart the tv.
if not, you can also restart the tv and restore the rootfs from uboot bbm menu (if you dumped it before, think merv07 wrote "make dump of all partitions", after you read all wiki artikles and all postings here, the way is the same as to flash the boot partition but adapted for rootfs.
