In B series, you can change your region from standard menus. Don't know about C series Much.

Some time, Service menu has disabled option fields, you can change those fields by using "Top Debug Menu" via ExLink cable connection. That might work for your TV. "Type" with value "40D1UF0C" from Service Menu might work too. But this two operation might be dangerous and could brick your TV also. But you probably revive it by shorting eprom pins. I don't believe if you needed to change your MB...

It's also good thing if you found identical LE40C65x TV on German. I believe German friends also passing here. It's might be better to change your Topic name to pull German owners to thread to help you. They might send their TVs Service menu images.
