I have been following this forum for a while and I am used to take advantage of several applications that have been developed here. However, I manually load these applications through TV Content Library every time I need them.
I would like to autoload some of these applications but I'm a Windows administrator whose linux knowledge is close to 0. For this reason, I need to know what is the easiest and safest way to achieve that: injectso, gdb trick or geopatcher? For me, not to brick the TV is more important than speed at loading the applications.
Thank you for your support.
Injectso, Gdb trick or Geopatcher??
Injectso, Gdb trick or Geopatcher??

Re: Injectso, Gdb trick or Geopatcher??
About geopatcher: I created geopatcher to make patching easier. I think it is the best way for Windows users. You don't have to install python and don't even have to extract firmware archive because it will extract it for you. Almost no user action required. But you must know that geopatcher works only with one firmware version: T-CHL7DEUC 2005.0 (until somebody create other sub-scripts) and creates a bit different starting script (starts /mtd_rwarea/SamyGO/autorun.sh). Is it safe? I think it is.baco81 wrote:...I would like to autoload some of these applications but I'm a Windows administrator whose linux knowledge is close to 0. See instructions for Windows user:
That's all.1. enter "geopatcher" folder
2. copy original T-CHL7DEUC.exe firmware there
3. run geo1patch.bat script and follow information on the screen
Forget gdb trick. Instead of this, use injectso. But you must read more about it before. This is not the easiest way and... requires firmware patching anyways. There is no option for autostarting without changing something in read-only area. Only fimware patching is able to do this.
SamyGO firmware patcher is the most universal and well supported here. I think, most users have patched their TV's using this tool.
Now, decide yourself.
My advice: don't hurry. Reserve a few hours of time when nobody will want to watch TV

As Geo650 said, geopatcher is really safe for a windows user.
For me, it's the best way to launch applications.
