Sure. Why not?
At least you can compile kernel module from source and configure with tools like iwconfig, ifconfig and route... (also wpa tools if needed..)

Dont you need root access for insmod? And iwconfig?

Im working on a widget hack for the 5500.

Did you do the hardware mod?
Changing the vendor codes (iwpriv e2p)
Or a software mod to insert the correct modules?

Hi please read wiki on hardware mod.
In short: Samsung has modified / stripped the drivers. Only one or two chipsets are supported and only the samsung vendor id is usable.
First you need a linux box.
Then compile the driver (look for my other posts) with e2p enabled.
Change the vendor and model code to match samsungs.
Try the pen in a player.

just modified pid and vid it works on bd-c5500 (have to try wpa2)

This dongle is confirmed working for bd-c5500 after pid/vid hack
