What is full TV model (with letters after 651)?
What firmware do you see here (menu-help-contact samsung --->second page)?

If you`re happy with this firmware, you can stay with it.
Patched firmware is needed only if autostart of apps is needed.
If you don`t need autostart, then you can use unpatched firmware, execute apps from USB or TV`s memory.

If you don`t use wifi dongle for your network connection, then you can switch it to cable.
