time-shift with samsung tv

hi there,
i would like to see a time shift function on my samsung tv.
i think it should be easy to extend the PVR+ tool to handle this.
maybe we can get the source code to implement this function.
i was trying to reach geo via pm but no response till now.

anyone tried to do this before?
maybe someone can share some wisdom here of known problems when doing this?

edit:
to make it clear - i'm interested on the function pressing pause while watching, it will get recorded to usb hdd now. then unpause and watch the rest from the paused point.

but it would also be great to extend the PVR+ with the feature to setup recordings via EPG and force them to use the timers so the tv can turn on automaticaly...
or an automated commercial skipping when writing it to the hdd.
