My new PN51E550 won't connect to Wi-Fi...

Hello all!

I recently purchased a new Samsung Smart TV (PN51E550) along with a new ASUS RT-AC66U router (what else are tax refunds for?) and have been mostly happy with them both so far.

Unfortunately, the built-in Wi-Fi on the TV refuses to connect to the router. It tries to connect and then says "Wireless network connection failed." I don't think anything is wrong with the router since I have several other devices connected to it without any problems. I've gone into the settings on the router and disabled the parent control, turned off the firewall, filtered the TV's mac address through, etc. I can't figure out why it's not working. I'm not super computer/wifi savvy and definitely don't know much about smart tv's so if I can get any help that would be very appreciated.

A few more thoughts:
- I know a wired connection would quite possibly solve the issue but the way my entertainment center is set up makes this very difficult.
- I don't think range is a problem because I get full bars on devices which are much farther away (and the TV itself shows the wifi as having full bars before I try to connect to it)
- A few days after I bought the TV, it actually DID connect to the wifi by itself (I was watching a movie and a notification popped up saying it was downloading the latest firmware... I almost did a spit take). The connection worked gloriously for about an hour and then vanished as quickly as it had appeared, and I haven't had it work since.

If you guys need any other info just let me know.
