Samsung PS64E550.

Hi i am new here so please be gentle,lol. I have a self inflicted problem with my Samsung PS64E550, I fiddled with the service menu and the picture looks terrible, i have reset the unit many times to factory settings but it has not made any difference to the picture, the picture looks very dirty like and colours aren't right as well. The unit had a problem out of the box and the Samsung tech who i class as useless could not see the problem that i complained about. The blacks are a very dark brown and he would not admit that there was a problem, also here in Australia we have the option to select the freeview guide from the channel menu but that is not working as it should, it pops up the info at times on change of channel, at times it freezes the tv for a few seconds so i have to use the Samsung guide, but i can do without that option. My question is if there is a way to downgrade to the original firmware will it fix the service menu settings as they where when new. Also if not is there a way to acquire the service menu setting so i can fix the problem hopefully. Please remember i am in Australia if that has anything to do with the service menu, which i think it has especially to the clock and so on. Any information that anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Problem solved, Service menu back to its normal settings and TV is back to it's horrible picture quality. Thanks for nothing Samsung.
