BD-D7000 B-FIRBP7WWC DNS Rooting won't work

Post by KRAER »

Hello Community,

I have tried to get the DNS root method going on my BD-D7000 ZF. Since it is all quite simple forward and I could verify that the request are going to the spoofed Update server at the SamyGO-Servers and not to Samsung, I am quite sure that the needed firmware is not present on the Update servers.

I crawled the forums and tried all dns-ips that I found here. The 149.154.159.134 always results in a 800 Error. The other IP 46.4.199.222 always gives me a 601 Error / unstable Internet connection. All Resets, factory resets and reboots and cold reboots did not help ...

So yes I did search the forum for two days now ;)

I am running the actual B-FIRBP7WWC 1014.0 and wanted to downgrade to the patched SamyGo 1004.x.

First I did some research:
Lookups on the nameserver 149.154.159.134 to samsungotn.net resulted in the same IP like the nameserver was. So that should be OK.

I did some tcpdumps on my router to see the traffic:

Code: Select all

POST /openapi/log/otn/43CA3HZIA3GJY HTTP/1.1
Host: www.samsungotn.net
Accept: */*
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
Content-Length: 172

S=b9f6b035&U=_B-FIRBP7WWC_2dfe28b490cf&t=2013-10-08T15:09:27&c=UPGRADE&e=OOBE_DOWN&v=0&d=FAIL%26ErrCode=1000%26OLDFIRMCODE=SWU_B-FIRBP7WWC_001014_I03_EK000KK000RK000_130607p4TR

...
That referred to some pages that declare themselves to something like infolink.samygo.tv with some godaddy certificates.

So I was pretty sure the player looked at the correct server.

My Player still gives me the option to do USB or Disc Upgrades. So if there would be an Image to USB-Update that should work.

I read some posts regarding "stopped services" or "discontinued services" -> Is there any hosting issues with the firmware hosts?
Maybe I could help with some reliable web space if I could get some stats on the amount of traffic that could be on a monthly base.

I appreciate every help or hints to resolve my problem and get my BD-D7000 on the SamyGO Firmware.
